The Doctors Company Financial Planning team has an opportunity for a Strategic Planning Analyst. This role can be based in our Napa, CA headquarters or open to remote work. Position Mission In this role, you will assist with the development of long-term goals and strategic objectives for the organization. Performs research, financial/industry analyses, and forecasting in support of business planning and the evaluation of strategic opportunities, and prepares reports and presentations communicating insights to senior leadership. The role requires close collaboration with strategic business units as well as Finance and Actuarial. Your inquisitive nature, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently are keys to success. A good analytical mind and comfort working with and looking at data and be able to translate that to strategic insights are essential for this role. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Math, or related field preferred.
• Years of Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in property & casualty insurance performing planning and complex business/financial analytics.
• Advanced reporting and Excel experience, abilities to lead large cross functional projects, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage large data sets from multiple systems. Responsibilities Strategic Analysis, Research, and Planning
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify key business assumptions and hypotheses around business strategy.
  • Continuously refines hypotheses and identifies business questions to explore further.
  • Translates data into actionable insights, strategies, and financial plans Strategic Reporting
    • Prepares clear, insightful reports and presentations for senior leaders and other key stakeholders
    • Disseminates industry and competitive intelligence to stakeholders Data Management and Process Improvement
      • Develops and executes financial forecasts/models and other business analysis tools to support and drive business decisions and improvements
      • Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses of internal and external data Competitor and Industry Analysis
        • Monitor competitors in a variety of ways, including peer analysis /comparisons
        • Evaluate industry trends
        • Analyze segments of the MPL industry, including MPLA , RRGs, Commercial Carriers, Physicians, Hospitals, Other Healthcare Providers and Facilities Technical Knowledge and Professional Development
          • Maintain technical knowledge and skills to support and advance the company's strategic plans and goals efficiently and effectively
          • Completes any training required to maintain or advance the skills necessary to perform responsibilities
