Job Description Job Description Full-Time Night Position for Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering specialized respiratory care to children, adhering to physician directives and evaluating the effectiveness of therapies. This role necessitates a licensed professional with the Registered Respiratory Therapist credential and involves utilizing various respiratory care equipment in a clinical environment. Overview This role involves providing direct patient care across all facets of respiratory therapy, in accordance with physician orders. You will also consult with physicians regarding the effectiveness of treatments and serve as an advanced resource for both physicians and nursing staff concerning respiratory care. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed. Position Details: Qualifications Education: Completion of a CoArc accredited Respiratory Care program. Licensure: Must meet state licensing requirements and possess a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Experience: No prior experience required. Certifications: Must hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For those working in the Emergency Room, PALS certification is required. Physical Demands: Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 10 lbs, and perform minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Equipment Used: All relevant respiratory care devices. Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Preferred Experience: Critical care experience is advantageous. Why Join Us?
