Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager assists with providing the planning, coordination, and direction for project management activities to ensure they meet owner needs, specifications, cost, and schedule. May supervise office/field administrative staff or project/field engineers and other assigned staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides administration to maintain management and facilitation of all contractual, owner, regulatory and Vanir requirements for the successful completion of the project
  
• Assists in obtaining, maintaining, and administering the data, information, communications, and approvals required by the project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, and other project related entities
  
• Under direction, coordinates, directs and monitors activities of contractors, engineers, architects and related performing entities. May supervise activities of Project Engineers or other assigned project staff
  
• Assists the Project Manager in developing project specific procedures, documentation and related systems for the project
  
• Knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, plans and specifications to ensure compliance with construction/project requirements
  
• Experience reviewing and analyzing contractor Payment Applications and Change Order Requests is required
  
• Experience monitoring and tracking Inspection Requests and preparing Daily Reports is required
  
• Assists in the management of project controls, costs, performance activities and procedures, and project logistics
  
• Supports project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses and follow-up on action items of all participants
  
• Manages the project closeout phase to ensure all requirements are met
  
• Consistently follows the organization's safety policy, promoting a positive and collaborative safety culture
  
• Performs other duties as required
  
  Minimum Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent is required (Extensive relevant project management experience in place of education may be considered)
    
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in the Justice/Jail Sector is not required but preferred
    
  • Must possess knowledge and the application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering, and construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices
    
  • Functional understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, and specifications
    
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of products is required
    
  • Proficiency with various project management and document control systems such as ProjectSight, Prolog, Kahua, MS Project or Primavera are required
    
  • Knowledge of new construction and modernization of jails is a plus
    
  • Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred
    
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations
    
  • Exceptional personal interaction in professional settings is a requirement
    
    Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $85,000-$90,000.
