POSITION TITLE: Chief Development OfficerDEPARTMENT: FoundationREPORTS TO: Chief Executive OfficerSUPERVISION GIVEN: Director of Philanthropy, Director of Marketing, Donor Relations ManagerJOB SUMMARY: The Chief Development Officer works closely with Health Center leadership and the Foundation Board of Directors to align Foundation fundraising efforts with operating needs and Health Center strategy. The OLE Health Foundation is a 501-- (3) nonprofit supporting organization charged with fundraising exclusively for OLE Heath, a Federally Qualified Health Center.The OLE Foundation was established in 1984 to provide financial support to OLE Health for ongoing operations and special projects and to create lasting reserve funds, assuring that OLE Health can continue to provide high quality primary health care to our entire community. Our mission is to inspire philanthropic contributions to ensure that OLE Health is always here to care for everyone in our beautiful and diverse community.KNOWLEDGE OF WORKAbility to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external constituenciesKnowledge of strong leadership and team building skillsAbility to prioritize assignments and workflows, work under tight time constraints, and meet deadlines while managing multiple projectsKnowledge of board governance and all applicable laws and regulationsAbility to work independently and as a member of various teams and committeesDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWorks with the Foundation Board of Directors' Executive Committee to create board reports, agendas and meeting materials to keep meetings informative and productiveOversees and ensures quality and brand consistency of all OLE Health marketing materials, including print, social media, video-based content, website, emails and donor solicitation materials.Ensures success of outreach program and all external community activities, including those conducted with the mobile unit and mobile health.Assists outreach team with the coordination of community volunteers and development of volunteer program for both outreach and events.Responsible for coordinating and successfully executing all OLE Health events, including annual fundraiser, as well as smaller-scale donor events.Analyzes donor base and develops a strategic plan to increase target fundraising goal each year in coordination with the OLE Health budget and operational needs.Works with the Foundation Board of Directors to create new funding programs and diversify revenue streams and support Health Center initiativesBuilds relationships with like-minded local and national organizations to expand reach of OLE Health's fundraising efforts and raise awareness of OLE HealthWorks with Foundation Board of Directors and to ensure event and communications calendar meets the fundraising goals of the Foundation and PR goals of the Health CenterWorks closely with OLE Health Executive Team to align priorities and acts as liaison between Foundation and Health Center; keeps the leadership team and boards informed of respective goals and activities.Takes a leadership role in audience development for all Foundation events including fundraising and community eventsCollaborates with Treasurer and OLE Health CFO and CEO to draft and manage the annual budgetBuilds the skills, knowledge and ability of the Foundation team and effectively manages all consultant contracts and relationships.Manages and develops Board including recruitment of new membersPerforms other duties as assignedRequirementsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in both fundraising and marketing, including development and execution of strategic fundraising and marketing plans. Nonprofit experience strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience developing and supervising team/development staff. Experience in board development and board management strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated fundraising success required, including major gifts, planned giving, grants, annual giving, special events and stewardship.
• Initiative, follow-through, and close attention to detail.
• Strong research and communications skills (oral and written).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
