Position Overview:Two paraprofessional positions are available in Wilmington, DE, supporting special education classrooms within elementary schools. These roles focus on providing Behavioral Support and assistance to students with specific needs. The assignment runs from March 19, 2026, through June 11, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities: Support students in a 1:3 BRIDGES classroom at Claymont Elementary School (male preferred but not required). Assist students at Maple Lane Elementary School in various classroom settings. Implement behavioral interventions and support plans under appropriate supervision. Assist teachers with daily instructional activities and classroom management. Maintain a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment for students. Collaborate with school staff and supervisors to meet student educational and behavioral goals. Qualifications: Must hold a Paraprofessional Certification or have completed 60 college credits. If certification requirements are not met, candidates must be willing to take and pass the Paraeducator exam prior to starting. If Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), candidates must have Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) supervision lined up before the interview. Candidates must be aware of and agree to an $85 fee for criminal background fingerprinting. Strong communication skills and a commitment to student support are essential. Schedule & Location: Claymont Elementary School: 8:30 AM 4:00 PM EST Maple Lane Elementary School: 8:30 AM 4:00 PM EST MondayFriday, 37.5 hours per week with a 30-minute paid lunch.
